Show title Description Reviews
The Dark Knight Podcast The Dark Knight might go down in history as the most overrated film ever made—my other candidates are Titanic and Knocked Up—with so much unnecessary hype it’s sickening. Yes, it is a respectable film with good action sequences, philosophy and a late actor who gave an excellent performance, but it’s far from being the best superhero movie of the year (that title goes to Iron Man). 0
Hancock Podcast We say it all the time; Will Smith is a talented, charismatic and mesmerizing actor. But the issues with Hancock however, are the writers’ lack of imagination, the mixed signals about its genre, and an action director whose camera style is not suitable for this kind of film. In the end, Hancock is a movie that has a good movie star who delivers, but everything around him is tedious and uncreative—without him, it would be unwatchable. 0
WALL-E Podcast WALL-E is without a doubt, one of the best animated films ever. Its greatness relies not only on graphics and lovely characters, but on its ecological message. Pixar’s first political film is also its most powerful one. 0
Wanted Podcast Wanted might not be another Matrix, but it’s definitely a respectable shoot-‘em-up film about an average Joe who turns into a deadly assassin. It might be a bit cliché with the story, but it has plenty of style, action and humor, and please don’t think too much about The Fraternity’s ways because the more you think about it, the less it makes sense. 0
Kung Fu Panda Podcast DreamWorks Animation keeps doing the right things! Kung Fu Panda is a fine example of where this division of the movie giant is going—basically to compete against Pixar. Greg C and Narman talk about this film: the praise it and recommend it. 0
Get Smart Podcast We do disagree! Greg C says "permission granted" and Nar says "enter at your own risk" 0
The Incredible Hulk Podcast Review Despite those small complains, The Incredible Hulk will not disappoint Marvel fans (heck! Even Tony Stark is here). Its faithfulness to the TV series is what makes the film much interesting and entertaining that the 2003 version that every Marvel employee wants to forget. 0
The Happening Podcast Review For the first time, we are out of the studio and recording on our favorite diner! Greg C talks to Narman about “The Happening”. We tell it like it is. 0
The Strangers Movie Review Loud with plenty of cheap thrills, The Strangers is a slasher film that doesn’t have any brains and borrows from others. 0
Sex and the City Fans of the series will love this reunion, but the male audience might want to be somewhere else. 0
I.J and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Permission granted. Despite some weakness in the animation department and Indy’s enemies, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is an entertaining sequel that all the family will enjoy. 0
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian brings absolutely nothing new to the table. Its “family friendly” battle sequences, lack of soul and storytelling ruin the experience. 0
Speed Racer Movie Review Proceed with caution. Speed Racer starts his powerful engine and takes off very fast, but after half an hour into the race, he shifts to first gear and looses momentum until the end of the race. ...click the poster for full review. 0
Harold/Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay Permission Grated. Despite some distastefulness, Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay is an entertaining film that shows the new adventures of these two dysfunctional friends who just want to smoke weed. 0
Prom Night One of the worst Horror films of 2008, Prom Night is dumb and forgettable. 0
Iron Man Movie Review The greatness of this superhero film relies on Robert Downey Jr. who brings charisma and humanity to his character. Greg C recommends Iron Man. A great summer film. 0
Deception Movie Review Deception is a total disappointment by being boring and predictable. Despite the great cast, this thriller has more plot holes and scenes that you can see them coming from a mile away. Greg C still gives an excellent Podcast show. 0
Baby Mama - Movie Review A Lame SNL-style comedy about Kate and her obsession to become pregnant. One of the worst comedies of 2008 and Greg C has the guts to tell it like it is. 0
88 Minutes Movie Review Al Pacino needs to solve the mystery behind some killings while talking on his cell the entire film! Greg is really "unleashed" on this one. 0
Forbidden Kingdom Movie Review Forbidden Kingdom takes us to the journey of an American teenager who is magically transported to a lost Chinese kingdom where he needs to fulfill a prophecy. 0
Street Kings Movie Review Detective Detective Tom Ludlow(Reeves) becomes a drunken/renegade cop after the death of his wife and needs to solve the mystery behind his friend's death. Again, this is not Training Day. Street Kings follows the same “cop drama/shoot 'em up” formula, but falls short to provide a sense of realism and character development. Keanu Reeves, once again, shows everyone that he cannot do these kinds of films—at least Christian Bale was a bit more charismatic in "Harsh Times"--a similar film by the same director. 0
Leatherheads Movie Review Leatherheads does have great comical moments and excellent performances by Zellweger and Clooney, but it gets tedious and long. 0
The Ruins Movie Review Much better than expected. The Ruins does give you some moments of horror, but some of the writing "ruins" some of the film. Greg C explains. 0
21 Movie Review It won big at the US box office but Greg C is not that impressed. 0
Superhero Movie - Movie Review A surprise! Greg C recommends this film. 0
Drillbit Taylor Movie Review A short and sweet podcast. Greg explains the good things and the bad things about Drillbit Taylor. An "ok" comedy. 0
Shutter Movie Review These Asian horror remakes keep coming back and there is no end in sight. Shutter follows the same old formula of all the Japanese remakes before it. 0
Horton Hears a Who! Movie Review Permission granted for this excellent animated film. Greg C explains. 0
Doomsday Movie Review Proceed with caution because "Doomsday" is nothing more than a "B" Grindhouse British film (it doesn't mean that is bad). Lots of gore and few laughs will keep you entertain. 0
The Bank Job Movie Review Smart and Provoking, The Bank Job delivers the goods. Based on a true story that took place in Great Britain, the film takes you to a simple bank robbery that turns into a messy affair where corrupted cops, crime bosses and even the Royal Family are part of it. A must see! 0
Semi-Pro Movie Review. Just when we thought Will Ferrell made a big comeback in Blades of Glory (where he played a flamboyant skater), he disappoints us with his new insipid film called Semi-Pro. Greg C explains. 0
There Will Be Blood Movie Review Greg C explains one of the best films we've seen in a while. Great acting, strong story and great visuals. 0
The Orphanage (El Orfanato) Movie Review Greg C sees good things in this film, but some of the confusion didn't work for him. 0
One Missed Call Movie Review One Missed Call is basically a rip-off/rehash of other Japanese-Horror remakes we’ve seen many times. They all have pretty much the same story with all the investigating moments and ugly ghosts moving at the speed of sound. Greg C really went "unleashed" here. 0
Charlie Wilson’s War - Movie Review Charlie Wilson’s War is about the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan during the 80s. More of a drama, it’s a satire about the eccentric team of Americas including Texas Congressman Charlie Wilson. An interesting film indeed and Greg C is here to explain. 0
Sweeney Todd Movie Review Tim Burton knows how to make dark fantasies, pure and simple. “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street” is another classic from one of the best directors in Hollywood. Working closely with Johnny Depp, he creates this almost theatrical-style film. Greg explains. 0
Aliens vs. Predator - Requiem The Strause brothers perhaps knew how to do the visuals, but their direction is so ridiculous that reminds us of an Ed Wood movie. Greg C explains. 0
I Am Legend Movie Review Now Directed by Francis Lawrence and starring Will Smith, this new version brings a deeper and dramatic meaning to the novel by changing few things around. But unfortunately, the film suffers from a B-class CGI special effects that take some of the realism and melancholia from our last survivor of earth. Greg C explains. 0
Enchanted Movie Review Walt Disney has finally come to its senses and made an interesting—and magical—movie that actually brings the best of the golden era of cartoon animation with a bit of “live action” twist. Yes, I was surprised of how good Enchanted was in almost every aspect (just the final battle could have been better). But the real surprise here is that Disney is going to the right direction. 0
No Country for Old Men Movie Review Greg C Unleashed talks about the meaning behind this excellent film. A true Oscar contender. 0
The Mist Movie Review The mist faded away at the US Box Office, even Greg C wasn't too excited about it. But the film has some excellent moments of drama and horror. If you like films like John Carpenter's "The Thing" or "Lord of the Flies" you might enjoy it. 0
